Karen’s Reviews of the Best Juicers

Juice is one of those things that, while refreshing during the summertime, is perfect all year round, especially considering the amount of produce that is at your disposal even during the colder months. When selecting a juicer, it’s important to keep in mind what types of fruits and vegetables you want to juice. Fruits and vegetables of varying hardness and such will work better with different machines. The following is a list of juicers of varying price values that will work with varying fruits and vegetables. All in all, these are some of the best juicers currently on the market.

  • Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus Juice Extractor

Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus Juice Extractor is one of the best juicers in its price range. It features an extra-wide 3-inch feeder chute which it claims can create an 8-oz. cup of of juice in 5 seconds. Furthermore, it also claims to extract more juice than other juicers (up to 30% more juice and 40% more vitamins). This juicer is able to juice harder fruits and vegetables due to its dual speed feature. This juicer is fast, easy to use, and easy to clean, meaning you can get as much juice as you want or need faster and with less hassle.

  • Black + Decker JE2200B Fruit and Vegetable Juice Extractor

Black + Decker JE2200B Fruit and Vegetable Juice Extractor is a great value buy. For the price point you get a juicer in which you can manage the amount of pulp in your juice and is also easy enough to use (with a simple on/off button), and easy enough to clean (with dishwasher safe parts and accessories). The one downside with this juicer is that it does leave some extra juice inside the pulp; however, you always have the option of running the pulp a second time, or straining the pulp for the extra juice. Either way, this juicer is a great buy for the price point.

  • Breville BJE200XL Compact Juice Fountain Juice Extractor

Breville BJE200XL Compact Juice Fountain Juice Extractor is a slightly more inexpensive version of Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus Juice Extractor. Don’t be fooled by the price; this juicer is a heavy duty one and is incredibly powerful. It features a 700-watt motor that gives you maximum extraction for your juicing needs. Furthermore, it has dishwasher-safe parts and also comes with a cleaning brush, so you can get into every nook and cranny, making the cleanup process even easier. Though this juicer is not perfect when working with leafy greens, it is ideal for harder fruits and vegetables. Lastly, its compact size makes it easy to store.

  • Hamilton Beach 67601A Big Mouth Juice Extractor

Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor is another great lower-price buy. It features an 800-watt motor that is meant to give you even more extraction from those tougher fruits and vegetables. It also features an extra-large pulp bin that allows for continuous juicing as opposed to needing to continuously empty the pulp bin. It also features removable plastic parts that are dishwasher safe. For smaller juicing needs, Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor is a great buy.

  • Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Juicer

Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Juicer is a juicer with a powerful motor. It features lower speeds which are meant to help reduce foaming, clogging, as well as any heat build-up in the machine. Since pulp build-up is a common issue with juicers, this one features an auto pulp-ejection function so you can continuously juice without any interruptions. As opposed to the Breville Compact Juice Fountain Juice Extractor, this machine is ideal for juicing those leafy greens.
